We were looking for venue that offered gluten and dairy free food to hold our mother's 'Celebration of Life' event after her funeral. Rosemary by EightyTwenty was perfect! We had just over 30 people and I was able to organise in advance for a variety of delicious, fresh dishes to share, all gf and df and the whole event was very reasonably priced. Everyone commented on how lovely the food, service and venue was. We were also able to bring our own alcohol to have a toast to our beautiful mother. Organising the event with Patricia was easy and efficient, especially considering the difficult time it was for us recently losing our mother at Christmas time. I highly recommend Rosemary by EightyTwenty for a delicious meal or a venue for your function. ~ Catherine J
Over the weekend we visited this new resturant and what an amazing experience. We ate food from the menu and a dish from "off the menu" which was recommended to us, both were amazing the moment it hit our lips. Each dish was introduced to us slowly and with clear speech. Staff are well mannered and polite, shows they actually care about you. The resturant is new, however the presentation is still good. Im looking forward to eating their again and seeing the updates they had planned. Even though we live 3 hours away, definitley coming back. ~ Ian W
A wonderful find — spacious, welcoming, and full of natural light. The flat white with almond milk and an extra shot was spot-on — smooth, perfectly made, and served at just the right temperature. The avocado on toast was beautifully balanced, subtly seasoned with fresh herbs, quality olive oil, a touch of lemon, and thoughtful garnishes. The breakfast burger and hash brown were just right, and the granola was clearly high quality. It was great to see such a mix of people — families, younger groups, and older locals — all enjoying the space. A lovely spot worth visiting. ~ Peter C
As my boyfriend and I were enjoying our meal I said to him I hope this place is getting the recognition and guests that it deserves. So here I am letting you know, if you love tasty, fresh, quality breakky food then this place is a must go in Kingston. The service was spot on. They were very friendly and the food came out quickly. The menu has a great variety of food and drinks. Good vibes, good food. Sorry for the empty plate pic. Just couldn't help but dig in haha. ~ Jessica B
Went for dinner at Rosemary and the food was absolutely outstanding, everything was delicious, the staff are so kind, friendly, attentive and chatty. They were exceptionally accommodating to dietary requirements (vegan) and not a single flavour was missed. If I could rate this meal a 10/5 I would, I’ll definitely be back! Cannot recommend it highly enough, if you haven’t been for dinner here yet, then you’re missing out on one of Kingston’s best kept secret! ~ erin f
Stopped in here for a quick lunch before jumping on the road to Sydney, OMG. My friend and I immediately were commenting on how good the food looked, how cute the cafe was, how everything tasted. The staff were so lovely and we had a fun little joke with them which was nice. It was so hard to decide what to have because everything on the menu sounds divine, the staff were happy to add extras onto the meals. Great experience and we will definitely be back on future girls trips. ~ Emma C
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this great local venue in Kingston, which has recently started opening in the evenings. We chose the tasting menu and every dish was delicious! We came away feeling totally satisfied and very happy! The service from Ton was friendly, informative and helpful. At the moment you need to byo but a bar licence is coming soon we were told. We would highly recommend dinner at Rosemary by Eighty Twenty. We can’t wait to go back. ~ Matt B
I don’t often write reviews but when the place is this good it feels wrong not to. Staff were absolutely lovely, really making an effort in a way you don’t often see in Canberra, as was the food and atmosphere. Fabulous healthy options and even an interesting looking degustation menu! A refreshing gem of a cafe where you feel you can truly relax and be looked after. Thank you. 🙏🏻 Hope to be back soon! ~ Peacock E
Young lady serving was lovely and her customer service skills were astounding. I ordered a coffee and without realising the extra vanilla i ordered wasn’t in the coffee but she did. she came over and insisted she make the right coffee. Very hard to find genuine people who care. She deserves a raise/recognition. Acai bowl was the best i’ve ever had Will definitely be back and recommending this place ~ Ellie B
What a delightful meal. We had the tasting menu because we wanted everything on the menu. The scallops were absolutely beautiful, the steak medium rare to perfection. Haven't had a better meal in Canberra. The outside alfresco area lovely on a summer's eve. We will most definitely be back to try the other half of the menu. According to the other diners present, just as good as the half we tried tonight. ~ amy e
I was leaving Canberra on Anzac day, so it’s difficult to find an open cafe. But Rosemary by Eighty Twenty was open. So I came in for breakfast. It was a cozy atmosphere and the Asian staffs are polite and efficient that is something for a solo traveler. Staying open on a public holiday reflects their commitment to providing work opportunities and consistently providing service to customers. Many thanks to the whole team! ~ Jomel R
I really wonderful cafe with very attentive and friendly staff and amazing food and coffee. I was in Canberra for a week on business and found this really wonderful cafe that has amazing staff who is super friendly and attentive. The food here is amazing; fresh and well prepared. Coffey was amazing and the very skill barista made a lovely milk art swan. ~ Oktave R
Rosemary has become my go-to spot for a good dining experience. Their karaage bowl and chef selection pasta are always the best options. The recent addition of a dinner menu has taken things up a notch, and the tasting menu is nothing short of perfection. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and, of course, the stellar food make this cafe a must-visit for anyone in search of a dining adventure. ~ Sandy Z
Maybe the best Café in Canberra. The food is absolutely amazing. I’ve had the chermoula lamb and the taste was phenomenal. My friends had some of their coffee options and they couldn’t stop complimenting it. A friend of mine from Melbourne recommended it and it was a great experience for me who was just visiting Canberra. Staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel at home. ~ Luiz C
We meet our son here for breakfast every week. The staff are brilliant, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming. When we come with friends who have specific dietary requirements, we can always find really tasty options to suit them. 100% recommend this place based on dozens of visits here. It’s consistently great. ~ Rebecca S
Had the burrito bowl (chicken) for breakfast dine in. Really good. Long black coffee came out with a small glass of sparkling water, a nice touch. Lots of seating indoors. Display cabinet inside with typical bakery items to complement the menu options. Free wifi. A tad expensive, but you get that these days ~ Ben S
I’ve never enjoyed food like this in Canberra!! Value for money for sure!! You could taste every ingredient in the food, the service was great and atmosphere was so nice. I’d highly recommend!! Ordered the spicy prawns risotto and my oh my that food took me to heaven….still there~ Great place to hangout with your friends and enjoy the food :) ~ Phoebe K
I've been there twice now for lunch. My husband who is very fussy about coffee really enjoyed the coffee there. My lunch was excellent. I'm dairy intolerant but the vegan cakes were a great option -they were terrific. One of the best cafes in the Kingston area and certainly better than anything at the Foreshore. ~ Barbara B
Lovely place! This cafe is peaceful, enjoyable and kid friendly too, with a wide variety on the menu for all ages and lovely outdoor and indoor settings. Quiet background music and friendly stuff. My new favourite spot to spend quality time with my little one and for a sticky chai and fresh watermelon juice ! ~ Jacquie K
The best coffee. Great service. Highly recommended. I have had coffees all over the world, and honestly, the coffees I had (during my 4 day stay in an apartment above) here are equal to the best anywhere... maybe even better. Superb !! I will be back next time I'm in Canberra. Thank you. ~ Greg A
What a little gem! So hard to find good coffee in Canberra. The food was also delicious and really appreciate all the vego/vegan and gluten free options. Staff are also lovely and very quick service. No photos because we are it too quickly. I will be back. ~ Holly G
Great place for breakfast/ brunch… good range including options for those with dietary restrictions (one of my photos shows the GF vegan ‘Benedict’ with pumpkin & tofu). The food was excellent! Good coffee, spacious with lots of tables, but a nice quiet atmosphere. Wonderful customer service. ~ Bec P
First time experiencing this gem of a Cafe. Came from Sydney over to see a friend and was recommended to try this place. 10/10 for food. I've never enjoyed food like this in Sydney. Literally licked my plate clean. If food could turn some gay, I'd be gay in a heart beat !! ~ Syed W
During non Peak Hours, it's peaceful, the music is nice and casual. Staff members are very polite, and the food is very tasty and comes out very artistic. Looks amazing! Especially the smoothies! A great place for couples or people who want a nice casual date. ~ Peliken
